Frobnotz Software is a partnership between David Roth and Jennifer Leigh. Our focus is developing streamlined applications to serve special niches.
David has been creating software professionally for fifteen years and knitting for almost as long. His long-term plan is to revolutionize the process of knit design with modern technology. He lives in Seattle with Jennifer, her son, two cats and a dog.
Jennifer has been working in tech since the early nineties at a wide range of companies including Cisco and Comcast. At the same time she was developing knitting patterns as "Jennigma." She is currently developing a passion for textiles and fiber crafts into a way of life at www.hackyourclothes.com.
Our first application is "Snap! It," a voice activated camera app. We designed it for tutorial writers who need to take photos of their hands doing things. Instead of fussing with a time delay or working with a partner, it's now possible to mount an iPhone or iPad on a tripod and with the command "Snap!" have the phone take the photo. Jennifer has tested this application extensively using a Gorrilla pod and an iphone tripod mount while creating tutorials for hand knitting and machine knitting.
We have several more apps in development, and will consider contract app development if we think the app is a good fit for our talents.
